1966 Longines Square Tank Dress Watch

A rare 1966 Longines thin square-cased watch, but with a circular dial, giving this unusual vintage watch quite a modern feel on the wrist.
Ref. 2697.370 this is a manual wind watch with the Longines Cal. 370 17 jewel movement, accessible through the case back that notes ‘Wrench 1025’ is required, though any watchmaker should be able to open the case back.
The 28mm square brushed stainless steel case sets off the round silver dial which features a single number 12, with baton markers for the other numbers, silver pointed hands and a seconds subdial complete the clear and refined looking face.
The watch sits on a very slim almost patent new old stock strap that sets the watch off nicely.
Watch currently works well and keeps good time.
