James Pradier - Hébé Assise Sur Un Rocher
An 19th Century Bronze Sculpture by renound French Artist Jean Jacques Pradier (James Pradier), cast by the famous Susse Frères Foundry in Paris. The figure is of Hébé, the Greek Goddess of Youth, seated on a rock, alongside her mythological symbol, the eagle - entitled 'Hébé Assise Sur Un Rocher' - (Hebe seated on a Rock), this piece is both signed by the artist, and the foundry. This piece is around 175 years old and so has the patina of age, as well as a slight rub on the girls knee - but this could be easily fixed by a specialist restorer - please see pictures. She's 32cm tall, and an original, not reproduction, piece. |
